Welcome to Overeaters Anonymous
Overeaters Anonymous is a Fellowship of individuals who, through shared experience, strength and hope, are recovering from compulsive overeating.
Welcome home.
What We Do
We welcome everyone who wants to stop eating compulsively. There are no dues or fees for members; we are self-supporting through our own contributions, neither soliciting nor accepting outside donations.
OA is not affiliated with any organisation, political movement, ideology or religious doctrine. We take no position on outside issues.
Our primary purpose is to abstain from compulsive eating and carry the message of recovery through the Twelve Steps of OA to those who still suffer.
Our Programme of Recovery
Overeaters Anonymous is a programme of recovery from compulsive eating in its many forms, including overeating, bulimia and anorexia.
We use the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions as adapted from Alcoholics Anonymous.
Worldwide meetings and recovery tools provide a fellowship of shared experience, strength and hope.
There is a solution to the disease of compulsive overeating.
How We Work Together
We respect anonymity and share the programme of recovery with fellow sufferers.
There are no dues or fees for membership. We are self-supporting through member contributions and simply ask newcomers to come and listen honestly, openly and willingly.
OA members differ in many ways, but we are united by our common disease and the solution we have found.
We practice unity with diversity and welcome everyone who wants to stop eating compulsively.
For Those New to OA
This is not just about weight loss, weight gain, maintenance or diets.
Our programme addresses physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.
This is not a religious programme and does not promote any specific diet.
If you want what we have and are willing to go to any length to get it, we welcome you with open arms.
Welcome to Overeaters Anonymous. Welcome home.
